An Introduction

Hi there o/
We all have that one thing with which we can forget all our troubles and the everyday world, and focus on our dreams, ambitions and happiness. Be it a hobby, a place or that special someone, we rely on it to help us enjoy our life to the full and be their for when things aren't going so great.

For me, this thing has to be my wonderful horse Lady May II (or May for short). Whether I'm unwinding from a stressful day with a relaxing ride through the fields or just spending time with her, grooming and building on the bond between horse and human, being with May is guaranteed to make me happy.

A little bit about May

May is a 7 year old 16hh skewbald mare. She's a thoroughbred cross which you probably would guess by looking at her but you would certainly understand when riding her :') She loves her jumping and is really honest, always trying her best, though she is incredibly stubborn (If she doesn't want to do something, she won't do it!)

I bought her when she was 5 years old as an all round family horse and she was impeccably behaved for her age. However after about a month staying at the yard I bought her from, I moved her to a different yard closer to us and things started to go wrong...
Some problems we faced included really really bad Mud Fever in the winter (resulting in our vet's broken fingers!), my escape artist horse getting herself into all kinds of trouble, sweet itch in the summer and a very moody mare.

Fortunately by the end of our first year together we had learned to manage any problems and, though it took her a while, May had really grown to trust me. After another move to a quieter yard, we had finally settled together and could work on building that partnership which every rider dreams of. I love her to pieces. :)
